Founded in 2019, premier Afrobeats and African diaspora music festival in Europe, draws a global Black audience and serves as a major destination for upscale Black diaspora travel.
Afro Nation Portugal was founded in 2019 by SMADE and Adesegun Adeosun Jr. as the flagship Afrobeats and African diaspora music festival in Europe. Held annually on Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão, Portugal, the festival features three days of performances by leading Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B, and hip-hop artists. Past headliners have included Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Tems, Asake, Rema, and Stefflon Don. The festival has become a major destination for upscale Black diaspora travel, drawing attendees from the United Kingdom, the United States, Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe to the Algarve coast each summer.
