Founded in 1983 by Mayor Andrew Young, raised over $33 million for HBCUs, draws Atlanta's most influential Black executives and cultural leaders, highest family-presentable stature.

The UNCF Mayor's Masked Ball is Atlanta's most elegant Black-tie fundraising gala, benefiting the United Negro College Fund and its mission to support Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Founded in 1983 by then-Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, the event has raised over $33 million for HBCU students. The ball draws Atlanta's most influential Black executives, politicians, entertainers, and cultural leaders for an evening of formal dinner, awards, and dancing. Honorees and attendees have included Coretta Scott King, Ambassador Andrew Young, Tyler Perry, and generations of Atlanta's Black professional class.
